Dynamic Mechanical Analyser (DMA)
DMA (Dynamic Mechanical Analysis)
Temperature and Frequency Dependent Investigation of Viscoelastic Properties

TA Instruments Q800 DMA device
Description
DMA (Dynamic Mechanical Analysis) is a technique used to characterize the mechanical properties of a wide range of materials. DMA differs from other mechanical devices in two main ways. First, tensile test devices focus solely on elastic components. Second, while tensile devices often operate outside the linear viscoelastic range, DMA operates within it and is more sensitive to structural variations. DMA measures viscoelastic properties through either transient or dynamic oscillatory tests and is frequently used for polymers and composites.
